After 12 years of active thematic research, outreach and advocacy work in energy for sustainable development, activities at the Global Network on Energy for Sustainable Development GNESD were fully completed on 31 December Overall, it had been an incredible journey with a number of great moments but also occasions for reflections and learning.
Special thanks to our two co-chairs for their inspiring leadership. Last, but not least, special thanks are due to the readers and external stakeholders for the visits to the website, utilization and citing of GNESD materials, participation in GNESD events, and invaluable comments and feedback through the years.
We welcome discussions and engagement with partners, both old and new, in proposal development and in new initiatives that complement past GNESD activities. We have recently been approached by several institutions in this regard and we look forward to exploring the new opportunities for collaboration.
